UK market supply
Imported beer supply built around professional procurement
A UK wholesale beer order requires more than brand availability. Product specification, pallet construction, exporter and importer responsibilities, customs information, excise treatment and the receiving plan must align before dispatch.
Our beer wholesale UK service supports distributors, wholesalers, cash-and-carry businesses, supermarkets, retail groups, hospitality operators and export traders. Each request is assessed against the buyer, product, quantity, delivery postcode and proposed import structure.
This page covers market-specific planning. Review the central Wholesale Beer Supplier for Europe page for the wider procurement process.

International portfolio
Wholesale beer brands for UK buyers
Request established lager, stout and premium international labels. Brand pages support product discovery; the written quotation confirms the exact SKU, packaging market, available quantity and commercial scope.
Products and packaging
Beer cans, bottles and specialist format enquiries
Packaging affects pallet weight, retail presentation, import data and warehouse handling. For that reason, every UK offer confirms format and case configuration at SKU level.
Wholesale beer cans
Canned beer is efficient for retail, convenience and wholesale channels because it is comparatively lightweight and resistant to breakage. Common market sizes may include 330 ml and 500 ml.
Wholesale bottled beer
Glass bottles support established premium, retail and hospitality ranges. Bottle size, units per case and pallet configuration are confirmed before approval.
Alcohol-free and keg requirements
Selected alcohol-free variants and keg requirements may be assessed by brand and route. They are not presented as universally stocked formats.
Product images are illustrative. Packaging design, language, market version and case count can vary. The quotation and order documents define the applicable product specification. See Wholesale Beer Products and Packaging Formats.

Cross-border coordination
How German fulfilment reaches a UK buyer
The exact movement depends on the route, product status and agreed responsibilities. This sequence shows the commercial checkpoints without promising one customs model for every transaction.
Great Britain
Imports to England, Scotland and Wales generally require a GB EORI number for the importing business, commodity information, customs declarations and the applicable duty and VAT treatment.
Northern Ireland
Movements from the EU to Northern Ireland can follow different rules from imports into Great Britain. The specific route and buyer setup must be checked separately.
Delivery timing
No universal transit promise applies. The estimate depends on readiness, crossing and carrier schedules, customs processing, postcode and receiving access.
For the wider process, review Shipping and Logistics. Buyers should appoint qualified customs and tax advisers where required.
Import controls
UK customs, Alcohol Duty, VAT and licensing
Beer is an excisable product. The importer and buyer must understand the entry, duty, VAT, licensing and resale requirements applying to the destination and transaction.
Responsibilities must be agreed before dispatch
A quotation should identify the commercial scope without implying that WooveBeer automatically acts as importer of record or assumes every UK tax and customs obligation. Buyers should clarify:
- who will act as UK importer
- which EORI identifier and customs representative will be used
- the commodity code and declared product information
- how Alcohol Duty and import VAT will be accounted for
- whether duty-suspension arrangements are applicable
- which licences or wholesaler approvals apply to the buyer’s activities
- the records required for traceability and resale
The document set may include a commercial invoice, packing information and relevant transport or customs references. The exact documents depend on the confirmed route and agreement.

UK buyer questions
Beer wholesale UK FAQ
Who can purchase wholesale beer for delivery to the UK?
WooveBeer works with registered businesses and professional buyers, including distributors, wholesalers, retail groups, hospitality operators and export traders. It does not process private-consumer orders.
What is the minimum order for the United Kingdom?
The standard starting order is two complete pallets. Product allocation, mixed-SKU feasibility, pallet construction and final quantities are confirmed in the written quotation.
Can I request mixed-brand pallets?
Mixed configurations may be possible for selected products but are not guaranteed. Submit the preferred brands, formats and quantities so warehouse and route feasibility can be assessed.
Which brands and packaging formats can be supplied?
The portfolio includes international brands such as Heineken, Estrella Damm, Corona, Budweiser, Guinness, Peroni, Carlsberg, Stella Artois, Pilsner Urquell and Krombacher. The primary formats are cans and bottles; the applicable SKU is confirmed in writing.
Does WooveBeer act as the UK importer of record?
Do not assume this. The importer and allocation of customs, duty, VAT and delivery responsibilities must be expressly agreed in the quotation or contract. The buyer may need to appoint a customs representative.
Do I need a GB EORI number?
A business importing into England, Scotland or Wales generally needs a GB EORI number. Northern Ireland movements can require different identifiers or procedures. Confirm the applicable requirements with GOV.UK guidance and your customs adviser.
How long does delivery to the UK take?
Timing depends on stock readiness, route, Channel and carrier schedules, customs processing, destination postcode and receiving access. The applicable estimate is provided with the quotation or shipment confirmation.
Are customs duty, Alcohol Duty and VAT included?
Only amounts and responsibilities expressly listed in the written quotation are included. Buyers must review product value, freight, customs duty, Alcohol Duty, import VAT, clearance costs and any other destination charges before approval.
Does German Pfand apply to UK orders?
German deposit treatment should not be assumed solely from the product image or origin. Packaging, deposit and recycling obligations depend on the product’s market version, transaction and destination. The applicable treatment must be confirmed for the quoted SKU.
What documents are provided?
The transaction may include a commercial invoice, packing information and relevant carrier or customs references. The exact document set depends on the route, product status and agreed responsibilities; no single list applies universally.
What payment terms apply?
Orders below ten pallets require 100% payment against invoice before release. Orders from ten pallets use a 50% initial payment and 50% after readiness confirmation and before dispatch, unless an approved variation is documented.
What information is required for a UK quotation?
Provide company details, requested brands and formats, estimated pallets, full postcode, nominated importer or customs representative if known, and any receiving restrictions. This enables a commercially meaningful review.
